Variations on a theme

And here we are, February 2010! I had some really good feedback (primarily in the form of smiles and good vibing) after the first bloggy post, which has continued to rise  – thank you contributors and readers! In the very next week, the universe kept giving the same message. Having heard/read various variations on the theme- ‘pain is the way the universe gets your attention’ and the ‘message keeps repeating until you learn the lesson’ – (not that everything has to be painful), Ville reminded me of Einstein’s expression on insanity  “doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.” Hmmm…..

So in that week this cartoon from Hugh MacLeod came through via email, I watched the following TED talk below (the first half felt like he was lecturing to me specifically 😮 ), and received a message from Dayna quoting George Bernard Shaw, “[t]he reasonable man adapts himself to the world; the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore all progress depends on the unreasonable man.” I started reading the Four Hour Work Week again, and whaddyaknow…. the same quote appears. What is the universe telling me?

P.S. Hugh  was the one who gave the advice – to get on Twitter and start blogging – merci
